Daniel Torres Storni is a Visual Director and Visual Author. Born in Santiago del Estero, Argentina.
He works with the image as a psychological and narrative language, exploring the body, tension and subjective conflict.
He develops visual projects that combine still and moving images – photography, video and pieces generated or intervened with AI – understood not as formats, but as expressive devices.
His works are articulated from an authorial perspective, where aesthetics are at the service of meaning and discomfort functions as a reading engine.
Graduated in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires. Although his main training in photography is exclusively self-taught, he also took workshops and courses at the Rojas Cultural Center (UBA).
He was part of the Spanish-speaking artistic collective "Histerycal Minds", where he made his first works with a reflex camera, some of which were part of exhibitions, exhibition and publication of anthology of the same collective. He exhibited his photography at the Parallax Art Fair in London (2011) and at Euskal Encounter in Bilbao (2012).
His first photographs are part of the book "Mirage: Dark Fantasy & Surreal Art Photography" (2013) where he shares pages with different Spanish-speaking visual artists.
In Argentina he worked for exclusive events, clubs, pubs and for brands such as Speed, Gancia and Campari.
In his audiovisual facet he has been part of the official selection of short films (2013) of the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival.
Finalist of the Hack Mafiz Malaga 2021.
Creator and director of the photographic project Fantography Oficial.
